Hi, I've a micro solutions backpackdvd/cd rom, I need to get the driver for
this drive,I believe it's : PNP 403A.

I've searched all over their web site but cannot find this driver I had the
driver but lost everything in a hard disc failure.

I know the backpack is out of date but I have been told the driver will
still be available.

Don't know whether this will help, but you may be able to source drivers
from http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/companies/668.htm.

The WinXP driver is available at
http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/drivers/63/63320.htm (and may work with
previous Windows versions).

An alternative file, "backpack.zip" is available for download from
http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/drivers/10/10740.htm. I don't know whether
it is suitable for your particular model - so I would create a restore
point, before installing any drivers - just in case!
