Hi,
Anybody know the different between normal patch and
administrative update only for office XP ?
When I download the normal patch and install on my PC,
it shown the message that certain features that you are
using is not available and I can't proceed. But If I use
the administrative update, it can successfully installed.
But don't what is the impact. Thanks

Hi Michael,

The Administrative updates are 'full file replacement'
updates. The client only updates are smaller and sometimes
contain patches to the original files.

The message you're getting can occur if you don't have
access to the original source CD used for the install or
if the product has been updated with an admin patch and
you're then trying to use a client patch.
