I keep getting a mimimized window with "Micorsoft Internet
Explorer" showing up on the bottom toolbar in Win98 SE.
(Yep its spelled Micorsoft not Microsoft).

It seems to happen each time IE 6 gets instantiated and
has a "Favorites" pane at the left.

You can't maximize this window, you can only close it. If
you click it, it travels but doesn't maximize.

Any ideas on what the cause is and how to eliminate it.

TIA

I would suggest that you do a virus scan of your computer
and possibly download a program to see if you have any
spyware on your computer as well

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
