michael - cannot find previous version installed

Michael - I went through the process you described and I get to a screen where it's supposed to detect the previous installation and it says it can't find one. My fiance and I searched all over for our 2000 Full Version and I can't find it.

It won't go forward without the full version disk, unless you have any other ideas??

Actually, there is one other possibility I neglected to mention. You could
try purchasing a previous operating system version on eBay. You can
probably find a Windows 98 or earlier for a very modest price. That would
give you the necessary media to reinstall the upgrade version of XP you
already have.
