Mic not working

My mic is not working when recording. I need to run test hardware wizard
first to enable it. This is what I'm doing everytime I want to record after
shutting down. Mic is not working as well when it's needed like in telecon
and karaoke. :)

Start > Control Panel >Sounds And Audio Devices > Properties > Adio > Sound
Recording W make sure you have a microphone selected.

Also, double click on the loudspeaker icone in the systray and then >
Options > Properties > Recording > make sure the mic is selected as the
input device.
