It's seems that right after I upgraded the reccommended
drivers on 3 identical Win2000 member servers all with
Intel Pro 100 Integraded NIC's, I lost 2 of them from the
domain (they are no longer visible in Network Neighborhood)
as well as all the PC's on that subnet. I was able to get
one of them back by uninstalling the Intel driver and
replacing it with a 3COM. The other server which I did the
same thing to still doesn't show up. I have checked DHCP
and the TCP/IP properties and they are both identical.
What caused this and how do I get the other one back.

Thanks,

rod

Network Neighborhood is a Legacy application and requires NetBIOS over
TCP/IP to work (Look on the WINS tab to see if it is enabled)

It is.

I've experienced enough random troubles with
windowsupdate network and disk/raid driver updates
that I no longer do them at all.

Have you tried simply uninstalling the update for these,
and restoring the original driver set or downloading
and installing the current set from developer.intel.com?
If that was the source of your problem then that should
correct it.

Assuming the install for the 3coms worked correctly, can you communicate,
such as with pings, or able to connect with a UNC to another machine?

Keep in mind the Browser service (which populates Network Neighborhood) may
take upto 15 minutes to populate.
