I'm running WindowsXP Pro SP2 and NIS2004. I was looking through Norton's
logs and it said this exploit MHTML Redir. exploit access denied and repair
failed. I looked up the information at Symantec and i was directed to
Microsoft patch that was dated around April 2004(not positve on the date). On
the MS site it had no info about XP sp2. Did sp2 not fix this issue? Any
advice? Thanks.

It is an attempt at an Exploit. If you are patched - GOOD !
If you are not patched then the Exploit will try to take advantage of the vulnerability that
the Exploit targets.

Just make sure you install all Critical Updates to mitigate such Exploits.

i've had my computer for a year and i have kept everything updated. so where
is the patch info on my computer to see if i already have this patch? i have
looked in add/remove programs and it is not there. would it be somewhere
other than add/remove? thanks again!

It is there. You have to check the box to list updates.
