i have a large collection of e-mail messages saved in Outlook in a series of
nested folders. I need to copy all of the messages into a single folder. Can
anyone suggest a way to do this other than by manually dragging and dropping
/ cutting and pasting?

You could create a rule that moves everything the desired destination folder,
then run that rule in each folder.

Perhaps select the top folder and then search with no criteria to find
all messages then CTRL+A to select them and then drag and drop all of
them into a single destination folder.

That's a better idea than mine. A search folder to find them all (like the
One Ring).

thanks guys, the search folder worked well.
I had tried that using instant search but the search folder allowed finer
tuning of the criteria to get the intended result.

Glad you're up and running!
