Britain is about to get into wintry mode with heavy snowfalls predicted in some areas of the country, the Met Office have said.

South and mid Wales have been told to expect up to six inches - tomorrow night and Thursday morning.
Up to two inches - has been predicted for London and southern England on Thursday.

The Met Office say the snow will be potentially disruptive in London, obviously the wrong snow will fall!
And it will probably be some of the heaviest snow in the last couple of years in the London area.

Oh bugger, I'm flying on Thurs morning so I hope it's not cancelled.

As a passenger unfortunately ;) It's a weekend away to Prague as we've wanted to go for ages, although it looks like it might actually be warmer there than it is here!

Should be OK Ian, are you flying from Manchester?
As long as they can clear the runway it will be OK.

Yup, it's from Manchester - I'm hoping it should be fine as it takes a lot to close a runway.

It actually doesn't take a lot to close a runway Ian :p This is britain after all, just a little flurry of snow and everything grinds to a halt.

This morning it was clear.

no signs of snow down south, be very surprised and pleased it if does :D
