I've been trying to get Video IM working for sometime, I
even bought a new router that was PnP friendly, but it
seems the firewall part is not. I've disabled the
firewall, but still no joy. Any suggestions?

Next step would be to remove the router from your setup and see if video
starts working. If it does, check the settings of the router in detail
again; if it does not, you have a problem with the PC and/or messenger
configuration.

Thanks, did that still no connection, I've brought down
all the firewalls, I've even called my ISP to see if they
were running any firewalls. Not sure where to go from
here.

OK, so it's not the router.

Then try installing Yahoo! Messenger and try video on that. If that works
then MSN messenger is the problem. You could also try NetMeeting to see
if that works.

It would also help if the person you are trying to connect with already
has a working video set up, so you don't try to solve their problem at the
same time!
