Someone Please help !

I am continually getting these grey backed 'invitations'
to a point where it is an absolute nuisance. I am desperate
to stop them and heard of microsoft's support page :

/?kbid=302089

but this is for XP only and requires 'fiddling' with the
Registry which I am not up to.

When one appears on my open screen , it's appearance
immediately blocks my keyboard and they pile up , one on
top of another.

Please help if you can

Hi John.

This is an indication that you need a firewall as you have netbios ports open to the
internet which can allow all sorts of bad things to happen to your computer. I you
are using a cable/dsl modem then I suggest you buy a nat router device [Linksys,
Microsoft, Dlink, Netgear] which can be bought from places like Best Buy for as
little as $29 after rebates. If that is not possible, there are free firewall
downloads such as Zone Alarm which are fine for novice users. If you are not up to
date with critical updates, you probably have an infected computer. See the links
below on protecting your computer and where to download firewalls. --- Steve
