Messenger Service

I keep getting spam via Messenger Service which I do not
want. I am running Norton Antivirus and Firewall but till
get the grey pop ups advising to go to www.endads.com to
stop the spam from occuring.

Is this the only way ,or am I missing something.

I am a novice but as far as I am aware Norton A & F are
customised to high to try and stop this.

As a consequence, I keep getting pop ups, via firewall to
approve access.

On looking to trace using tracert, the path normally
times out on the forth path.

Typical lines are :

217.134.247.155:1273
217.134.110.146:1116
216.22.34.69:1942
203.162.37.220:4512
217.134.110.146:1246
216.53.134.234:3538

Any help/advice would be appreciated

I may be missing the point but I use a free download
called popupstopper which I downloaded from zdnet.co.uk
Maybe this will help?

Greetings --

Use the firewall to ensure UDP ports 135, 137, and 138 and TCP
ports 135, 139, and 445 are _all_ blocked. You may also disable
Inbound NetBIOS (NetBIOS over TCP/IP). You'll have to follow the
instructions from firewall's manufacturer for the specific steps.
