Okay, I downloaded Messenger Plus I'm never downloading
this again. I was hoping it would improve MSN Messenger
6, but I think it just made it worse. Maybe someone here
can explain this to me.
First of all, when I installed Messenger Plus, it put a
toolbar to Internet Explorer and shortcut items to the
desktop which at first wasn't a pain. Then, I noticed the
desktop changed the color of IE icon on the desktop and
it almost looked like it was in 16 bit color, however,
it was just a odd color to the icons.
Second, then when I went to uninstall it, then it
prompted me to enter a number just in case if I wasn't
human. What the heck? None of the programs I've installed
done that before. Then I uninstalled it by entering the
crazy number then it wanted to restart to take effect. It
said that the shorcuts and toolbars will be gone. Well
most of that took effect, except a one shortcut, the
Active Desktop icon. I deleted the shortcut manually.
Last, I went to browse with Internet Explorer 6.
Something like case-n prompted me, so I ingnored it and
restarted my machine and used Adaware. It was a browser
hijack. I removed it and now everything seems normal
This is really getting out of hand. Maybe it's just me,
but who would ever want Messenger Plus? Did I do
something when I installed it? None of this happened
until Messenger Plus was installed.
