messenger plus causes random problems for msn messenger 6.1

Since downloading and installing messenger plus i have had all of these problems
1. all my display pictures have been wipe
2. custom emoticons no longer show up in any message
3. Mesenger doesnt remember my email or password like it previously di
4. Messenger does not store any emails in the drop down manu on the sign in scree
5. sometimes in the whos online-offline list my contacts are shown by their emails instead of their screen name
6. "show display picture" sometimes becomes unticked, but sometimes not...

these problems are becoming really annoying and more frequent
any ideas?
