I have 2 PC's that are always on in the house - 1 in the kitchen and 1 in my
office. The problem I have is that when I turn on the kitchen PC, it kicks
me off messenger on my office PC. Is there a solution to this without
having to turn off one PC?

Hi Donnie, just uncheck the "TOOLS | OPTIONS | PREFERENCES | Run Windows
Messenger when Windows starts" box in the kitchen's PC. Now, when you're at
the kitchen and want to run Messenger, you'll have to do it "by hand".
Regards
Fernando

Hi,

I tried that but it still wants to pop up on start up on the kitchen PC.

create another msn (hotmail or passport) account for your kitchen and add
all your contacts to that account too, also add your other account.
On your other computer you can add the kitchen account too.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
