I have banned the Windows Messenger programe on my computer because my kids
are addicted to it and it is a TIME WASTER. Ok, now that you know why I want
to rid my PC of this vermin could someone please tell me how to completely
prevent its use on my computer. I have been able to download a small program
that prevents the Messenger from being used system wide or by a particular
user, great, but I have a sneaky teenager who is able to use Messenger from
a Windows web site. How on earth do I prevent this?!

if you can find out the name of the web site they are using Messenger on,
reply back with the URL

My opinion is that you should not prevent it.
Using technology to communicate with other people is not a bad thing.
I would be REALLY pissed off if someone prevented ME from using messenger!

True. And it also reminds me of other technologies people say that about.
Such as "Cell phones in the hands of teenagers are a pain in the ass, and a
major waste of time". How about previous generations who said "Telephones
in the hands of teenagers are a pain in the ass, and a major waste of time".
What was it before that ? Radios ? What was it before that ? It's always
something else.

Reminds me of a story. A husband came home one day, and caught his wife
making out with another man on the sofa. The husband said "I'm going to put
a stop to this Right Now." So he took the sofa outside and burned it.

Blame it on something else. Blame the technology, blame the sofa, blame
McDonalds, blame a comet, but don't blame me.
