I'm fairly new at this so please be gentle.......
I built a database and attempted to set up security for my very few users
using the security wizard.
My problem is that I didn't seem to give administer rights to anyone
(including myself) so I'm unable to make any changes to the design.
Here's what I've got.
The groups set up are Admins and Users. Admins doesn't have any
permissions. Users has access to a variety of different things such as
Open/Run for the database; Read design, Read Data, Update Data, Insert Data
and Delete Data for tables, etc.
I have one user set up (Admin) which has no permissions.
Admin (the user) is a member of both the Admins and Users groups.
I'm not sure why I've never been asked for a user id or password when I open
the database (mdb file) because I did set up user id's, etc. Fortunately, I
have print screens with the pid's, etc.
I'm using Windows XP Professional. The database was built (and security
added) using Access 2002 with SP3 although I'm now using Access 2003.
Unfortunately, the FAQs concerning security that MS offers are above my head.
Thanks in advance.
