messed up my outlook contacts!! I need help

I need help!!!
I have Outlook Office 2003 and have done something to my contacts..I am
trying to do a mail merge for labels and I keep getting a "this operation
cannot be completed because of dialog or database engine failures. please try
again later" Can someone out there help me??
