messed up defragment

My husband defragmented our drive and it destroyed a lot
of our common things like the keyboard. He got the
keyboard to work but now our computer crashes all the
time and it runs really slow. Please tell me how to fix
it I am begging you!

Probably the only way to fix it is to reinstall Windows XP. Be sure you
have backed up your data files (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, etc.) and
that you have the install CD and CD key for XP, and for the software
programs you will need to reinstall.
