Messaging Interface Unknown Error

I've just started using BCM and am running into trouble entering new
contacts. I managed to enter 6 contacts without problems but now when I try,
I get an error message which reads "The messaging interface has received an
unknown error. If the problem continues restart Outlook". Well I've
restarted Outlook many times, all to no avail. I've even tried repairing the
program by reinstalling from the original disks. Unfortunately, no success.
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
 
Try the following steps:

1. Check for the Disabled items. On the tool bar of Outlook Help>About
Microsoft Outlook. Then click on Diabled Items. Look for BCM addin is
listed.
2. If Disabled click enabled. Try reproducing error, if error is still
there then continue to next step.
3. Search for and renamed extend.dat, outcmd.dat, frmcache.dat and
views.dat.
4. Reopened outlook. (It might ask for the CD of either Office or BCM to be
reinstalled)
5. Try to open BCM contacts as well as create new contacts.

Note When you restart Outlook 2003, it will create a new Frmcache.dat file
with information about the cached forms.
- Reinstall the custom form by running the Business Database in Maintenance
mode. To do so, follow these steps:
1. On the "File" menu, point to "Business Database".
2. Click "Maintenance".
3. In the "Database Maintenance" window, click "Start".
Try Issue again, if still does not work continue:

- Create a new user profile and then change the new profile to use the
existing personal folders (.pst) file. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Click "Start", and then click "Control Panel".
2. If you are not in Classic view, click "Switch to Classic View", and
then double-click "Mail".
3. Click "Show Profiles".
4. Click "Prompt for a profile to be used", and then click "Add".
5. In the "Profile Name" box, type a descriptive name for the new profile,
and then click "OK".
6. Click "Add a new e-mail account", and then click "Next".
7. Click the appropriate server type for your new e-mail account, and then
click "Next".
8. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen, and then click
"Finish".
9. Click "OK".

Note You can change the new profile to use the old .pst file, or import
the contents of the old .pst file to the new .pst file. Save the old .pst
file before you change the new profile to use this .pst file.
