messages that won't delete-pls help me!

I have a message that I sent with 24 mb on it and it wouldn't send and now
none of my messages will send and it won't let me delete them either. so what
do I do? I really need help

File - Work Offline.
Wait five minutes.
Try to delete message.
If it fails, File - Exit.
Wait five minutes.
Restart outlook and stay offline.
Attempt to delete message.

If it still fails, what version of Outlook?
