messages slow to appear in preview pane

When I am moving through my messages it takes about 10
seconds to appear in the preview window. This all started
after I installed MSN messnger 6.1, and have since
uninstalled MSN Messenger and reinstalled outlook and
still no fix. I have plenty of memory. I am running xp
pro and outlook 2002. Any thoughts?
 
Disable the MEssenger integration; Tools-> Options-> tab Other
