Messages sending from Exchange account instead of POP3 account

I have both an Exchange mailbox and POP3 mailbox and I
have both accounts configured on my profile in Outlook.
I have my settings set so that my POP account is the one
to send from. When I receive a message from another
person with both an Exchange and POP account and I reply
to their address (they are sending from their POP
account) Outlook automatically tries to send to their
Exchange account from my Exchange account even though I
do not have my Exchange account setup to send messages.
Outlook acts as though it is trying to be smart and send
messages via the way it thinks is best (ie Exchange.) I
have tried creating a new profile and that did not
resolve the issue. Before I go as far as removing my
profile or Outlook I wanted to find out if anyone new of
a setting that could be causing this. Thanks!--Ginny

If you're using Outlook 2000 or earlier, unfortunately this is the standard
behavior. You'd need to put the Exchange account and the POP3 account in
separate profiles in order to send through your POP3 account without
interference from Exchange. This would actually be the best idea for you
since Microsoft officially does not support the configuration of an Exchange
account and a POP3 account in the same profile in Outlook 2000 and earlier.
(Outlook 2002 and 2003 do not have this limitation.)
