Which version of Outlook, Charlotte? Do you happen to have the Junk Mail
feature enabled? Or are you perhaps using a third-party tool for junk mail
filtering?

Are your Junk Mail filters set to route messages to Deleted Items? If so,
I'd be willing to bet that's what's resulting in some "good" e-mail getting
caught and routed there as well. If you have the filter set at "high", this
has been known to happen.
