Michael

this is covered a little under a different post but since the problem
has evolved I'm posting it under a different heading.

Is somewhat important as I can't use the program until I solve it.

So to cut to the chase ..

I installed FP 2000 on a laptop that's running W98 SE - tried W2k but
the machine was too slow.

So - FP appears to run OK until I try to save and when I do I get ..

frontpage.exe R6025 pure virtual funtion call ..

and that's it .. have to close the program.

have uninstalled and reinstalled FP which didn't help.

Have scoured the Internet and found a ton of stuff on this message but
none of it helpful to me.

Must be fixable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike

MS Tech Support may be aware of the issue and have a solution, and it not they can log it.

This is a MS forum for peer-to-peer support, which is rarely read by any MS Tech Support personnel.

I realize that this is now not really a FP issue although it only
happens in FP

If anyone has any ideas how on how I can go about solving the problem
then I'd appreciate hearing them even if it's directing me to another
news group.

I just tried booting in safe mode and the same thing still occured so
I really have no idea what to try next.

thanks

Just to let you know that I solved the problem :-)

I cleaned the registry and it now works.
Used a simple program ..
http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptregrip.asp
I uninstalled FP entered the word frontpage into the above program and
let it churn - deleted the items that appeared - reinstalled FP and
Bingo it worked.

many thanks for the help,
Mike
