Hi,

I get the message 'It's now save to turn off your computer', what do I have
to change
that the computer automatically turn off (with XP Professional it turns off
automatically).

Regards,
Günter Wirth

You need to change your machine from a "Standard PC" to an "ACPI Uniprocessor
Machine", or "ACPI Uniprocessor Machine". More than likely, just changing
that componet will cause you some problems, namely bluse screens with error
7B. Also if you are using either the WinLogon macro, or the MinLogon macro,
you might end up with clashes, so either remove the macro and fill in the
componets that you need, or go into the macro settings and un check the
"Standard PC" check box.

If you are having blue screens make sure that you add these componets:

Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller
Advanced programmable interrupt controller
Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator
All three Disk Driver components.
Direct Memory access controller
FAT
FAT Format
Motherboard resources
Mount Manager
Numeric Data processor
PCI Bus
Both PnP components (you will need to lower your visibility setting to 200)
Processor
System CMOS real time clock
System timer
PCI standard host CPU Bridge
PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
PCI Standard RAM controller
Programmable Interrupt controller
PCI Standard EISA bridge
PCI Standard ISA bridge
Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller
Standard IDE/ESDI Hard disk controller

If at this point you build the image and it still isn’t working then try
looking here:

Hope that helps,
Rob

Günter,

To remove that screen your target has to be either ACPI compliant or support APM.
Check your BIOS or MB documentation on both.
Also, you will get this info from TAP output under working XP Pro on the target device.
