My sister's Microtek Scanmaker scanner has died and been discarded after
which her PC, running Windows 2000, pops up a window at start-up stating
that the scanner cannot be found. To stop this we uninstalled the scanner
software but now a message pops at start-up saying that file msmgr32.dll
cannot be found. I have reinstalled, then uninstalled several times but
cannot clear this problem. My expertise is in Windows XP and I am somewhat
lost in 2000. Can anyone suggest a way of stopping this message box
appearing? I have found several instances on the 'net of the same problem
but no cures.

Any advice will be gratefully accepted.
