Message Alert Sounds

I have tried enabling sounds in Outlook and in the
Sounds from Control Pane to get email sound notification. I just tried RUN
REGEDIT and the Hkey Current Users fix found in a sound problem/solution.
This didn't work.

Has anyone encountered this problem on Outlook 2003? if so is there a
solution? Thanks,

Is the problem that you're not get any sound? Do you get sounds in other
applications?

Start with the basics: Do you have speakers? Is the volume turned up?
Computer not muted?

Yes, I get sounds, all the default, startup, shutdown etc. Just no email
notification sound.

Have you tried doing a Detect and Repair on Outlook?
