Below is my original post

When I sign in to MSN Messenger, it tells me how many new e-mails I have in my Hotmail account like it's supposed to. However, after I read those new messages, Messenger still says I have the same number of new e-mails to read - the number doesn't go back to zero like it should. I have to sign out and back in again every so often to get an accurate update. Also, it doesn't tell me when a new message arrives.
Messenger used to function just fine. I'm not sure when these issues started. It was either when I upgraded to XP from 2000 or when I downloaded a service pack. Any ideas? Please help!
THANKS.

I am told that this is aproblem on Microsofts side and is being investigated, byt can anyone tell me why this is happening on my computer but not any of my friends?

Because it is not a problem with your computer it is a
problem with your account. Try another passport on your
pc, I'll bet that one works fine.

Mine one doesn't, but my other one does.

Don't feel alone.... it's not just you. It started
happening on my computer about a month ago and is still
not fixed. I've read several other posts in this forum
concerning the same problem. Who knows if it will EVER
work again!
