Hi- I am completely new to the world of PC's. BUT,aftersome research,I am about to buy one- it seems Mesh have the best deal for what I want (basis stuff!!). Can anyone tellme if Mesh have a good reputation????? And does anyone have any tips??
Thanks!

Shops are an easy option, just be carfull thats all i say.

I looked at loads of places for computers and after about a month i just said to myself, build ya own.

you get a lot more for your money, trust me.

iam a newb at building also and i was shocked at how easy it was.

my below spec with 19inch monitor, nice mouse, keyboard, virus/firewall software for near £1000, you wouldnt get that in a shop.

Mesh On Site Warranty

You would expect a quick response when you purchase a computer from Mesh Computers with a 3 year on site warranty. It took 4 weeks for to get an appointment for an engineer to come to look at my computer and guess what he failed to turn up. After complaining he did arrive 2 days later with a new power supply and it didn't fix the problem. He said it was likely to be the CPU but he wasn't allowed to replace that so it had to go back to Mesh. 6 weeks now without a working computer and I am still waiting for Mesh to fix the fault.

DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING A PC FROM MESH!!

Type "Mesh" into any consumer forum and just wait for the horror stories apart from the ones that Mesh employees are made to submit praising them.. You have been warned by a Mesh battle scarred victim who actually got a refund.

I can only say what I have found. I have had 5 Dell PC's from the very first 386 processors. Minor problems always fixed OK.
They do not feature in Best Buys or Top Ten lists. Anyone know why ?
Anyone know why Mesh are not criticised more in the magazines.? I expect it is because they pay for plenty of full colour advert pages.
When you run benchmark tests on Dell they are always up with the rest so perhaps Dell do not put things through for magazines to review.
Some people say they are more expensive. so what you get what you pay for.
I have no connection with Dell.

See what others have to say on diiferent companies on this site
Look in micromart (in newsagents on thursdays) lots of ad's for new pc's.
Do a search on the net, see who people think r good
Even pc world have decent bargains nowadays.
See if any small pc makers near you, some can make decent base units, and then buy an independent
onsite warranty for you pc

MESH! I`ll not go near them. A simple enquiry about the delivery of a system I ordered from them resulted in a cancelled order and a the money refunded.

I went to Evesham who have been excellent all the way through ordering to delivery. The system arrived as scheduled and works great. I had one query for support and was answered immediately to my satisfaction.
