I am using Microsoft XP, and every time my monitor turns
on I receive a "blocked message" telling me that my
computer is locked and that only the OWNER can unlock
it. It asks for a password, but I don't have any idea of
what password they are looking for. I don't recall ever
locking my computer, but I believe that somehow it is
affecting other programs within my computer. Is there
any way to unlock my computer other than typing a
password that I don't know?

Dick,

Try just pressing Enter. If you didn't assign a password then there most
likely isn't one. It sounds like the screen saver is set to ask for a
password when it is disturbed.

Right click on your desktop and choose Properties. Click the Screen Saver
tab and uncheck the option labeled "on resume, password protect".
