Merging with Word

I have created a word document to merge with data from my
Access table. When I open the word document it opens 3
sessions of Access before displaying my word document.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and what can I
do about it?

IIRC, in A97, Word MailMerge will open another instance of
Access if you have a custom Title for your database but 3
instances, I got no ideas.
