I HAVE NO REAL DIFFICULTIES MERGING DATA FROM WORD TO
EXCEL, IT'S THE FORMATTING THAT I AM STUCK ON. THE COLUMN
IS LIKE THIS:

111 11TH PLACE NORTH CELL A3
BIRMINGHAM, AL 11111 CELL A4
1256 11TH PLACE S CELL A5
BIRMINGHAM, AL 12345 CELL A6
4589 11TH PLACE NORTH CELL A7
BIRMINGHAM, AL 54321 CELL A8

NOW WHEN I MERGE MY CELLS, MY LABELS TURN OUT WITH JUST
THE STREET ADDRESS ON ONE LABEL AND THEN THE CITY AND
STATE ARE ON THE NEXT LABEL. HOW DO I MERGE CELLS A3 AND
A4(FOR EXAMPLE).

Brandi.

The problem is that your street addresses and your city-state are in the
same column, thus are the same field. Word expects all the data for each
label to be in one row, with the different parts in different columns. In a
normal table. you might have the street addresses in column A, and the city
in column B, etc. The layout of your table needs to be changed. If it's
consistently every two rows (no exceptions) it's pretty simple to change.
If not, it ain't necessarily so. Let us know.

It's a good idea not to use all caps. Looks as if you're shouting.
