Friends got a new PC running WinXP Home a few months ago. Initially it
was used only by Adam who set up his user and internet access. Later
his wife wanted to use PC for graphics, created her own user, Eve, and
installed PagePlus and PaintShop Pro.They share an e-mail account
which uses Outlook Express, on Adam's user, from which they get photos
from their daughter in Australia, which Eve likes to use in her
graphics. They are elderly and not heavy users and find the complexity
of toggling between users and setting up shared folders more trouble
than it is worth and more than they can handle.
They would now like to run a single user, Adam & Eve, which both can
use.
Is there any way they can merge the two existing users?
Or how do they go forward--rename Adam's user to Adam & Eve, backup
all Eve's files to cd, delete her user, then copy the files back into
Adam & Eve?
Is there a simple solution?
Thanks for any guidance.
