Merge in XP

I have just used XP Acess today for the fist time and cant
merge with word docs like I used to in my old office 2000
program. Can you help?

The 2002 version of Word uses ODBC to connect to an Access database, not DDE
as all previous versions did. The wizard is not as fool-proof as before and
sometimes you'll need to try several times before it will work.

A suggestion to make it easier: Create a new document in Word. You can copy
the text (not the document) and create a brand new Word.doc with a new name
(name it back later, after deleting the old one) Then create a new merge on
the new document. Sometimes you'll have to do it several times, but it will
work if you persevere.
