I have an Access database that I exported to Excel and made some changes.
The ID field is the same in both.

My question is, can I merge the Excel data into Access, overwriting the
existing data in Access?

Link the EXCEL spreadsheet as a table in ACCESS, then you can run
append/delete/update queries however you wish, using those data from EXCEL
file.

Cool.

I have another question. I have a database on the web (I am using it for
ColdFusion). Is there an easy way to synchronize it with a database on my
computer?

Or, what is the best/easiest way to get information from that database to my
computer?

I'd suggest using File... Get External Data... Link to connect to the
Excel table; then create an Update Query linking the local table to
the linked spreadsheet. Update each field in the local table to

=[LinkedTable].[CorrespondingField]

I suggest that you post this question as a new thread. I have no experience
with web-based systems, and a new thread will draw the attention of those
who have the experience.
