I have recently experienced a problem with menus when I
try to access file, edit, etc. The menu will not
automatically drop down when prompted. I need to lamost
drag down the menu to have it appear on the monitor.
This does not happend in Word or Excel, but on email and
web access plus certain games.

Any ideas on how to cure. Also, I tried to access
Microsoft for phone or on line support, but only got
blank screens--does anyone have an XP support number or
email address?

Thanks

John, not sure what you mean. If you are clicking on say... File and not
seeing anything until you move your mouse over the area where a menu should
be -- I've had that happen before. An updated display driver fixed it.

If there is no updated display driver available for your hardware, try
turning off some of the extra visual effects: System> Advanced>
Performance> Visual Effects. Try the "Adjust for performance" setting. Then
add items back one at a time up to the point where you start to lose your
menus again.
