menu preferences in XP

In Windows 2000, my drop-down menus were set so that they
wrapped around if they reached the bottom of the screen.
I can't figure out how to set this up in XP; it requires
me to scroll at the bottom of the menu. Takes extra
time, and I like to see all my options at the same time
via wrap-around menus.

Suggestions anyone?

which menu do you have with screen full listing?
only ones would be the all programs and favorites.
might consider creating folders inside these and compress
similar items into the folders.

You're right, it's mainly my programs and favorites
menus, but I do already have folders...my folders list
goes past the bottom of the screen (I use a lot of links
for teaching!).
still looking for menu-wrapping capability; if you can do
it in windows 2000, I hope it can be done in XP.

Hi Doug

Start/Settings/Taskbar & Start Menu/Start Menu/Customize
Then remove the tick from "Scroll Programs"

Hi Pete,

thanks for that. That works great for the start menu,
but is there any way to do it for my Favorites menu in my
browser? I don't see any equivalent.

Hi Doug

I'm afraid I am no expert here but just happened to know the answer to your
query.

I do not know if it is possible to achieve the same result in your browser.
However, I use both a laptop (XP installed) and a desktop (2000 installed)
and on my desktop, which uses 2000, I do not find that my IE browser "wraps"
my "Favourites" when the bottom of the screen is reached. This is despite
having my settings applied as I outlined to you earlier. If there is a way
to enable the browser to "wrap" my favourites, as you suggest is possible in
your original post, I'd be grateful to know how to do this.

Thx.

Then group those folders into parent folders.

Kelly,

I don't see any option to cause my favorites menu to wrap
rather than scroll if there's more than a screen height
of favorites. Can you clarify?

Doug

There isn't. You can only organize them. Hope this helps.
