Menu MFC App Stopped Working

I have installed Vista and now when I log in I get a mssg saying "Menu mfc
has stopped working. A problem stopped the program from working properly.
Etc., etc." Does someone know how to resolve this issue?

Do some clean boot troubleshooting to see if you can identify what program
is causing this. The principles apply the same to Vista.
