I have loaded 100 gig of video onto my d drive. I have
now deleted it, but my drive says I am still using the
100 gig even though the files are now gone. How do I get
my hard drive space back? Thank you.

Make sure you've emptied the recycle bin. If you have other delete recovery
software, like Norton Utilites, empty that as well.

If that doesn't clear it up, try Disk Cleanup in the Accessories/System
Tools program folder.
