I just installed an additional 512 megs of ram and have noticed that now
whenever I use TASK manager, it shows 100% processor use! What's up?

I have a dell 2GIG P4 and this should not happen at all! Any help will be
appreciated

You might want to check the processes tab and see what in the list is using
that much CPU time. Note, it is normal for System Idle Process to be in the
90s.

That 512MB has nothing to do with you cpu running at
100%. What you need to do is go to task manager, which
you can either hit ctrl+alt+del, or right click on the
taskbar and click on task manager. From there click on
the processes tab and then scroll through there seein
what is using a high number of resources. Look at the
very bottom and you will see system idle process. It
should always be at a high number usually 98% or 99%. If
you have something draining your resources though, end
task on it. Take it out of your startup

After bringing up Task Manager, click on View > Refresh. Depending on what
software you have installed and running, this window can be slow to refresh
its information.
