I was given a old computer without a memory sticks (r.a.m) I would like
to know how to find what type of memory the computer requires, from
using the Motherboard (Mainboard) as there are many different type of
R.A.M. out there.

If you can find the motherboard make and model you can go to www.crucial.com
, enter the make and model and they'll list your board RAM and capacity.

How do you find the model number on the Motherboard, the only other
information is it is a Eversham Vale computer

www.crucial.com and use their memory selector.

try here

Put the model number of the Evesham PC (not the motherboard) into th
search box and hope for the best. I don't know how good thei
support is, but hopefully they can offer you some nugget of info t
move forward with. Good luck

Somewhere embossed onto the mother board will be the model. or you could
start at the FCC number. The other suggestion of going to the crucial site
may work out,, but that is a not-so-mainstream system and they may not have
the info you want.

When you start up your computer, the very first screen shows the make & model
number of the mother board at the bottom of the screen. You might have to use
the "pause" key to stop the screen fom changing quickly.

if you feel like you are up to the task. you can open up the case and
stare at the memory module. don't touch it.. generally there are
stickers on the memory chips that tells you what they are.
