If you still need RAM, try Kingston or OCZ brand RAM. While not being

not), I haven't yet seen a mainboard or chipset that isn't happy with RAM
made by Kingston or OCZ. -Dave
I've never tried OCZ, but I tested around seven Kingston 512MB PC3200
ValueRAM modules from circuit city, and at the BIOS defaults, half
wouldn't pass MemTest86 in an Asus/Asrock VIA VT400A mobo at 400 MHz
memory bus speed, none passed in an ECS nForce3A v. 1.0A Socket 754
mobo.
With the Asrock I had to enable the "flexibility option" (whatever that
is) to get zero errors, and with the ECS I had to use the 2T setting.
OTOH I have an older Kingston that works fine with these mobos at 1T
and even CAS 2.5, as do all my PNY PC3200 modules ("Bravo" chips).
This isn't the first time I've had problems with Kingston. That module
that worked at 1T was the second one I got, and earlier I had a very
high failure rate with 256MB PC2100 modules.
I don't mind 2T speed because it makes barely a difference, but if the
modules couldn't handle 1T, they should have been programmed for 2T.
