I am running out of memory and I'm not sure why? Since I
installed Windows XP my memory has decreased
dramatically? How can I see what programs are allocated
to how much memory? I've tried to uninstall extraneous
programs and internet files but that didn't seem to do
much someone have some answers for me? Help! Thanks

Memory exists to be used, and Windows will always attempt to find uses
for every bit of memory installed in the computer.

What specific symptoms or error messages are you experiencing?

How much RAM does your computer have? You need at least 256 mb of RAM
for any sort of decent performance from Windows XP and many people
find that performance improves when they go to 512 mb.

Or are you perhaps confusing memory, which is RAM, and hard drive
space, which is storage.

Good luck
