Memory Usage

My Gateway computer running Windows XP Home shows
approximately 70% of my memory being used with no
applications running but about 26 processes running
according to Task Manager. Is normal?
 
Under Processes, which processes are taking up the most memory? You can
sort by the column headings.

Go to start--run type in msconfig--startup tab--uncheck

everything--apply--ok--restart--check box for don't show
me again--go to

line 148,right side--remove disabled items from msconfig
open it and run it,remove everything--go into your
antivirus and check it to run at startup,and your go2go!
