I upgraded my memory to 512MB (from 256) on my Dell desktop (1.8g Pentium 4 , 30G harddrive) My XP Home recognized it and everything is fine and faster. It seems almost too easy. Is there anything I should/could do to take full advantage of the upgrade , or is it really this simple ? Paging file size is set at 765 MB , monitor resolution is set for best performance , I only have 5 things on my startup list , and C: has 80% free space. Am I missing anything or becoming obsessive? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

You could move up to a newer, faster hard drive, or a more powerful video
card. You could also replace your motherboard and buy a 3 GHz processor. Or
you could get a life. My opinion: Enjoy yourself...it's later than you
think.

Upgrading RAM is the easiest, quickest and one of the most
effective ways to do it. Your paging file will adjust
itself automatically and if you look at task manager the
amount of RAM available will me much higher. Speeds will be
faster as programs will not have to be swapped using the
pagefile. Cheers

I know, it just seems too easy doesn't it, it's a wonder
we're even needed to work the keyboard! - enjoy :o)

Question: If "Once you pop you just can't stop" - why is
the lid resealable?
