I am looking to upgrade my memory on my MSI Neo4 SLI motherboard.
Currently I have 2x512 OCZ Platinum Rel 2 PC 3200 sticks. I would like
to have at least 2 GB total. Would it be better to mix a different
brand/version of 2x512 (or possible 2x1Gb) or should I get 2x1Gb and
not have 2 different pairs?

Scenario 1: 2 Gb total
2x512 OCZ Plat Rel 2 PC 3200
2x512 other brand PC 3200

Scenario 2: 3 Gb total
2x512 OCZ Plat Rel 2 PC 3200
2x1 Gb other brand PC 3200

Scenario 3: 2 Gb total
2x1 Gb other brand PC 3200

Thanks for any advice/input

do not mix ram types/brands...it will hurt you. Best option is always
paired sticks, but if you ever want to upgrade you must pull them
all...i suggest 4 512mb of corsair XMS, or 2 1gb sticks of same...the
corsair website will lead you to the right sticks to get for your mobo.

I have MSI K8N Neo4, started with 2x512Mb Corsair valueram. I purchased
2x256 Hyundai secondhand on Ebay. All working fine on Dual mode. Option 1
should be fine.
Mike.
