Is there a simple way of downloading some pictures onto a SD memory stick? I
have a card reader connected to an USB plug but can't figure how to download
onto the stick. I am using XP. and I have Picacle, Print shop, and sonic
software on computer

I'm not sure what you mean by "memory transfer" or by "download onto the
stick". If you put your SD card into the USB card reader, Windows will
see it as a removable drive. Go to Computer and see your card,
double-click to open it. Now open another window (such as your Documents
or your Pictures folder). Right-click-drag whatever files you want to
transfer to the stick from the Pictures folder (we'll use the Pictures
folder as an example). When you let go of the right mouse button, choose
"Copy" and the files will be copied from the Pictures folder onto the SD
card.

If this isn't what you wanted to know, please post back with more
details about what you're trying to do and what isn't working.

In addition to Malke's remarks, this is not an XP newsgroup. You may well
get the answer here but you will generally have better luck with XP question
in newsgroups like microsoft.public.windowsxp.general and
microsoft.public.windowsxp.photos.

I should think you can simply select your SD memory stick as the target
folder for downloads. I don't know what download software you use, but I'm
sure it has a browse button that lets you pick the target folder.
