Memory Stick

When I install a memory stick it does not appear on 'my computer' as
'devices with removable storage' like it should. It worked previously and I
was able to download photos. Now it doesn't work.
 
This question really belongs in the Windowsxp.hardware newsgroup.

Have you tried using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when
this began, Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
