I have 1GB of DDR2 - PC-2300 memory which I was hoping to use in my
ugraded computer. Looking at the specs of my new motherboard, it says
it supports DDR2 - PC2-4300, PC2-6400 and PC2-5300 .

Does this mean my PC-2300 memory would not work on this motherboard?

Cheers

If that PC2300 is DDR, NOT DDR2, it will not fit the slots on the new
motherboard. What socket was the old motherboard?

PC3200 is DDR, and DDR has 184 pins on the edge. DDR runs at 2.5 volts.

DDR2 uses a 240 pin contact on the edge. DDR2 runs at 1.8 volts.

They are not interchangeable.
